ECON 120B - Econometrics B (Candido)
Econ 120B with Prof Candido is a challenging class. It starts with material similar to Econ 120A. This is not too difficult. But in week 3, it switches to Regression Analysis and that is difficult for most students. There will be two midterms, a final exam, three or four Stata Assignments and lots of problem sets. I have video reviews and playbooks to guide you through each step of the course and ensure that you have a successful quarter! Studying the old exam questions is vital for doing well in the course. The exam reviews are organized around old test questions and I have a separate review devoted to the latest practice exams. The reviews are recorded and posted on my auxiliary website, so you can watch them at your convenience. A tentative schedule is given below. The actual dates may vary but there will be three or four reviews for each exam and one review for each Stata Assignment and problem set. The reviews average 90 minutes. They provide quick overviews of the key topics and step-by-step instruction. A former college instructor, I went to graduate school at UCSD in Economics and was a teaching assistant for the Econ 100 and 120 series. More importantly, I have been tutoring students for Econ 120B for more than 20 years including every time that Prof Candido has taught the course.
